JCB selected Apajove via our Elite Partner status with Softcat their LAR, to assist with the design and implementation of a set of new services hosted in the on-premise and cloud environment. The existing desktop and server environment had reached the end of its supported life and JCB embraced a move to cloud products available to them in the Microsoft 365 suite

Microsoft 365
Challenge
The legacy JCB infrastructure comprised a global Windows 7 desktop infrastructure. The strategic approach had deliberately enforced a multi-vendor approach for management and security products. Altiris was used to manage the OS environment, the solution was capable but performance and the end-user and administrator experience was poor and the tool lacked capabilities for the new features of Windows 10.
Solution
The M365 licensing suite includes licensing for the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS). There are two primary components in use at JCB. The on-premise System Center Configuration Manager product and Microsoft Intune, the cloud-hosted device management platform.
These environments are integrated via co-management to provide flexibility for managing Windows and mobile devices on the LAN and WAN as well as internet and cloud-only connected
